Question Of The Day

I had a really long day at work and don't feel like writing. I do have one question for everyone. Should a policeman get a citation for parking longer then 20 minutes in a 20 minute designated parking zone when he is on personal business?

  • YEs. But the question is, should he give it to himself or should he call one of his co workers and ask them to do it for them?

  • No. I parking in illegal spots all the time to just quickly run into spots.....including "maternity spots" ... they are the equivalent to handicap spots in my village...I'm not going to walk 5 blocks when I can park up front and quickly run in and out.

  • Yes - and Bob, he should give it to himself. It's just poor behavior to attempt to enforce a law without obeying it himself. Was he, by any chance, selling crack out of the back of his squad car and pocketing the money for this time period? Possibly an extreme difference, but a crime is a crime.

  • Only if we can also ticket them when they flip on their lights to go through an intersection and then turn them off on the other side. They should pay for that.
